Wolfswarte Rundwanderung

Start: Car park „Auf der Rose", southern edge of Altenau. Ascent to the Wolfswarte, a treeless rock plateau of weathered quartzite with spectacular views of the Brocken and the Harz foothills. Return via the Gustav-Baumann-Weg. Almost 400 metres of elevation gain — rewarded with one of the finest viewpoints in the Upper Harz. For dogs: plenty of streams along the way.
